Commercial of the Week (Dunkin Donuts Fritalian Commercial)
This week I am going with this catchy satirical jingle ad by Dunkin Donuts. Its pretty obvious who they are mocking in this commercial. Starbucks is beginning to feel pressure from cheaper more basic offerings from Mcdonalds, Dunkin Donuts, and 7 Eleven.
Although I already recognized a Jackie Moon commercial, I wanted to give some love for these Old Spice Commercial as well.

OK… I thought DD got enough sh*t for this stupid commercial that they pulled it and fired everyone responsible for it. But, after months of its absence, I just saw it again. So to be unnecessarily clear, they’re boasting that you can walk into a DD and order Lattes in …. ummm….English? They are kidding, right?

That DD commercial is absolutely horrible. Are they trying to insinuate their patrons are too stupid to figure out the sizes at starbucks? Besides, when have you ever gone into a starbucks and heard the employees not serve you if you ask for a “large?” Maybe if this commercial came out 10 years ago it would have had an impact, but at this point starbucks words are in everyones vocabulary.
