MMS is not the only thing lacking from the iPhone but it is one of the most requested. For all the people making their ridiculous comments like, "if you don't like it don't buy it," there are thousands more that want and miss this feature.

For those that argue that the iPhone has sold by the millions even with out MMS & even after people knew there was no MMS, they're just grasping at straws. When the Model T Ford first hit the streets everyone wanted one, then people asked "Can I get it in any color I want?" and the answer was yes as long as the color is black and people bought it anyway. People just want the latest and greatest, you have to keep up with the Jones'.

Of course the first day the iPhone hit the market people were lined-up wanting the latest and greatest cell phone available, never in any of the advertising did they mention that it has all these features BUT MMS. I'm sure the general public just assumed that it would come with it because it's supposed to be so much more superior to the rest. GEEZ, even the cheapest and most generic phones on the market have MMS capabilities. (Insert, "then go get one of those phone," here) It does help with everyday life for those that are savvy enough to know how to use it (my parents do not, and it has to be explained every time, it just doesn't seem to stick) your at the super market "Hey hun, is this what you were looking for" take pic send it over, "yup, that's it" or "hey wish you where here" take pic of vacation spot send it over. Sure you can send pics to iPhone users but you have to log on to a website (given Safari decides to let you onto the web) then use a log-on and password just so you can see a tiny thumbnail of a picture. I have just given up on viewing pics that have been sent to me, because logging on to a website to see just seem like a step backwards and a waste of time when it can be easily sent to the phone and put the big screen to use.

So I must say that the iPhone is definitely two steps forward and one step back.

Try using Firefox to retrieve them... not so convenient on your iPhone, I know but it's the best way I have found to get them.

I can only hope that the beautiful woman with the broken nose gets help soon or the 8 -10 mms messages I get per week will be going to a blackberry phone and I'll just buy an Ipod.
