As the weekend comes to an end, here are some random things popping into my head. Linkedin is pretty sweet On my left nav, there is a little icon to my Linkedin profile (Facebook for business professionals minus all the fun). I have been impressed with all the new third party extensions coming out on their platform, but I think Linkedin's true value can be surmised by looking at the picture below.
That's who looked at my profile the last week. Not too shabby at all, and is pretty on par with a normal week of visitors to my page. It was actually compelling enough for me to finally update my profile after 7 months of a stale, half ass, and sarcastic profile.
Celebrity look alikes First up. Phillip Seymore Hoffman and Robert Scoble.
Next up, newly crowned Heisman Sam Bradford and my buddy PPM who is not famous, never will be, and is the biggest dork ever known.
OSU Documentary
I am getting an advanced copy of the documentary, Across the Field, sometime this week. Can't wait to check it and review.
Startup Founders and Bundles of Joy My last employer's 3 co founders all worked together at software company before quitting their jobs to start their now flourishing startup. The story goes they all had pregnant/apprehensive wives who were lukewarm on their decision to leave their more stable positions to pursue the Silicon Valley dream. Well, this past Friday Yardbarker's CEO joined them by being the 4th co founder I know to have a baby while also steering an early stage startup. Congrats to Pete! Vera is quite the cutie. For a moment I thought Pete and or his lovely wife were going to live blog Vera's coming into the world. In the picture below, Vera reacts to the news that Tim Tebow did not win the Heisman
