Technology blog GigaOM had a great piece
analyzing Linkedin's billion dollar valuation in their latest round of funding. Accompanying that piece was a video (featured below) made by Linkedin's marketing team gathering the opinions of various investors including
Dave Sze who is featured prominently in S
arah Lacy's great book "Once You Are Lucky, Twice You Are Good" (just finished review coming soon)
The video and the GigaOM blog are pretty much on the money. Linkedin is already big and is growing rapidly, Linkedin offers business users value, and Linkedin already has 3 established revenue streams. A year from now we'll probably look back thinking this debate of the hefty valuation was indeed ill advised. I think the real debate is if
Facebook is really worth15 billion dollars?
